Record-breaking Work Party!

On Saturday, May 11 we had an amazing morning out at our first conservation easement pulling scotch broom and making new friends! With over 45 people in attendance it was a record-breaking event for the Land Trust.

The work party was organized in conjunction with the annual Yale Day of Service and our event was one of the largest across the globe. We were joined by community members, Scouts from troop 1804, and Yale alumni (many of whom traveled over from Seattle). With all hands on deck we joyfully watched the sea of yellow scotch broom disappear. The Land Trust and multiple landowners have spent years controlling that weed and events like this make a huge difference! We greatly appreciate everyone who was able to join us.
