August 11, 2026 | 10:00am - 12:00pm Agate Passage Preserve Join us for a members-only guided exploration of the rich intertidal world at Agate Passage Preserve! This Low Tide Walk will be fun for all ages to connect with nature as we learn about this extraordinary aquatic ecosystem and get a rare glimpse at marine life from eelgrass to nudibranchs to moon snails. This 1.5 mile walk includes a steep dirt trail and stairs down to the beach. Check back soon — registration will open August 3, 2026 at 12:00pm. Things to Know Registration is limited due to the sensitivity of this habitat. Parking: Please park at Centennial Rotary Park (15250 Alama Place NE). We will walk together 0.5 mi from Centennial Rotary Park to the trailhead. Who: All ages are welcome — kids are great explorers! Please, no dogs due to the fragility of this intertidal environment. What to expect: Please be prepared for a hot, moderately strenuous 1.5 mi walk including a steep dirt trail, stairs, slippery rocks & sand. You are welcome to bring trekking poles and any equipment needed to help you feel comfortable on the walk. What to bring: Wear rubber boots or sturdy shoes that can get wet. You'll be walking on slippery rocks & in shallow water. Sun protection is encouraged, but avoid excess sunscreen/lotion on your hands as these can be harmful for sea life. We are responsible beach stewards — please be respectful to the sensitive sea creatures by practicing proper intertidal etiquette. Questions? Email Megan Rohrssen.
