14 Mar Free Invasive Weed Disposal 2025

Sunday, April 20 & 27 | 10am - 4pm Bainbridge Disposal Transfer Station - 7215 Vincent Rd.   Keep your yard and our Island looking beautiful! Pull those pesky invasive weeds, drop them off, and we'll take care of the rest. All costs will be covered by the Land Trust. We will accept Scotch broom, English holly, English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, tansy ragwort, English laurel, and the noxious weeds on Kitsap County’s “Noxious Weed” list. Please do not mix in non-invasive yard waste. For questions about whether or not something will be accepted, email Andrew Fraser, Land Trust Stewardship Manager, or call (206) 842-1216. A separate check-in line will be set up at the entrance to the Transfer Station for people going to the free invasive weed disposal. No limits on the amount of invasives you can bring for this event. The Land Trust will have staff on site to inspect the weeds and verify they are invasive, and volunteers to help with offloading plants.   Volunteers needed! We need volunteers to help with offloading plants. Staff will be on-site to assist with identification of invasives, so no knowledge is needed—just a willing pair of hands! Current volunteers, sign up here using our Volunteer Portal. First time volunteering with the Land Trust? Fill out a volunteer interest form here and we'll be in touch! Please reach out to Sarah Keller with any questions. If you miss the Free Invasive Weed Disposal Days, do not despair! The Kitsap County Noxious Weed Control Board is holding their own Free Noxious Weed Disposal program.
