Spring Equinox Night Walk
Embrace the dark and expand your senses on the spring equinox!
Led by the Land Trust’s Conservation Director, Gina King, and Community Education Coordinator, Megan Rohrssen, this hour-long guided walk at the Wildlife Corridor* is a unique opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife and experience the forest in a new way after dark.
In the comfort of a small group, we’ll wander slowly & quietly through the forest at dusk, letting our eyes and ears awaken to the rhythms of the night. We’ll listen for a chorus of calling frogs, search for signs of beaver activity, hope for the distant call of an owl, and walk beneath the hidden world of flying squirrels that depend on connected forest habitats like our Wildlife Corridor.
