Protected Lands

The Bainbridge Island Land Trust holds conservation easements on both private and public properties, but does not own the land. BILT does own 4 properties which include the Wildlife Corridor (acquired in 1995) and 19 acres adjacent to the Grand Forest (in the Heart of the Forest) for which ardent fund-raising is underway! Two other small parcels were donated to BILT and are held "in fee".
