The Bainbridge Island Land Trust is proud of its success over the last 25 years, but we cannot do it without you!
BILT acquires land, works with property owners to develop Land Protection Agreements (Conservation Easements), and conducts the on-going stewardship functions necessary to monitor and protect these properties. In all but a few cases, BILT's acquired properties are transferred to the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park District for on-going management.
The Land Trust is primarily supported by individuals, either through membership or other donations. Becoming a Bainbridge Island Land Trust member provides necessary support for the Land Trust to continue providing services to private landowners, protecting the lands we currently hold and pursuing new acquisitions.
Your donation to the Bainbridge Island Land Trust can be made for a specific project or to our New Conservation Projects Fund which provides funds that allow us to respond quickly to land protection opportunities as they arise.
A great way to leave a lasting legacy is by donating to the Bainbridge Island Land Trust through a planned gift. We are pleased to provide language for inclusion in wills.
The Bainbridge Island Land Trust is also a proud member of One Call for All. For every donation through OCFA, the Land Trust receives additional non-designated funds.
Internet donations for membership, special projects or to our Preservation Fund may be made using Network for Good. Contribute now!
All donations are tax-deductible. BILT's tax ID number is: 91-1439338.
